[S27-016] Nonima & Sonal - The Death of Youth
The Death of Youth ( IDM / Experimental / Ambient)
One more release from our own Nonima, this time collaborating with fellow noisemaker Sonal. The sound and tone of "The Death of Youth" is quite a drastic change from what may be expected, there are some technically programmed beats and clicks aplenty yes, but it's the abundance of ambience and Sonal's heavily processed guitar work that makes this release a worthy addition to Nonima's hastily growing catalogue of releases.
Recorded one night in June as an improvised jam session between the two artists, it evolved into what we have now. Complete with some rather disturbing samples from serial killer testimonies and the brilliant "Session 9" movie by Brad Anderson, of course.
"The Death of Youth" is certainly dark stuff, perfect for headphones at 3am. Available as a free download from Section 27's site or from the link below. Its all in the numbers.
