Music industry makes move against Lyrics post on the web

The Music Publishers' Association of America is rolling out its own legal rampage against unlicensed sheet music, 'tab' and lyric websites, threatening to throw those that own such sites in jail.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I hear a song on the radio or in a store or wherever, I either jot down or try to remember a line or two of the lyrics... when I get home, I plug that phrase into google and inevitably get a result from some lyrics site telling me the artist and title of the song. Any guess as to what I do next? That's right... I go to iTunes and buy the damn thing! Imagine that! Without the eeevil lyric site, no sale for them.

  • It's been cooking for a while ! Now they actually do it, after closing some web sites...
As you said, it's a shame, the lyrics could have help them to sell a few more tunes...

It reminds me of medicine, trying to get rid of the symptoms, and forgetting to consider looking for a cause....
